It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! With only a couple of weeks left until Ol’ Saint Nick drops by, you might want to start SAVOURING the SEASON! Here’s my top five location suggestions if you’re into photo blogging (or just photography, in general):
The Distillery District
Greenwood Conservation Area
I always come here when the snow falls. The grounds are virtually untouched for the first few hours and your backdrop is a slew of snow lined trees. You couldn’t ask for more.
They were under construction last year but they have since finished! The inside is beautiful – some of the best decorations I’ve seen. A couple of years ago, a friend and I set up a fantastic hot cocoa booth to take photos of families. The kids loved sipping cocoa and having their photo taken while they waited for Santa.
Did I mention Santa also comes by Vandermeer's during the holidays to take photos with the kids (and young at heart)? Yep, he does! He's also been known to do 'Pet Pics' too, while raising money for the Humane Society of Durham Region.
Pingles Farm Market
You can also enjoy a lot of festive activities here, including Santa photos, and for the foodies, baked treats galore!
I must add that I am a fan of this place year-round, especially in the weeks leading up to Halloween. You've gotta see my photos from my fall visit too, HERE.
YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE!!!
This is anywhere, and everywhere! My most favourite place to take a holiday photo is by my Christmas tree. You can do macro on ornaments, or family portraits. It is truly where the magic happens!
Happy holidays and happy memory making with your camera this season 📷! While you're at it here’s a really fun bucket list you can attempt for the winter:
